What keeps the planets spinning

pattern: Lace Cardigan by Simona Merchant-Dest
yarn: Wollmeise Pure 100%, in colour Maus Alt
needles: 3mm and 3.5mm

Hooray! I finally finished this babeorama and oh boy, what an endless wrestle it was. The pattern was perfectly written and so easy to follow, but it did have 5 charts to follow and it required some serious brainwork on every row. So not precisely a cakewalk, but the cardigan itself is just heavenly. I have no words for how much I love this! It's greyish black and thus can be worn with anything and Wollmeise really works with cardigans (I mean, after knitting of course, because knitting Pure is like knitting cotton - it's non-elastic and it splits). And look at that lace pattern! True cardigan love!

I have another gorgeous sweater in progress - Neulisti's La Grasse Matinée - and so far I'm loving every second!

Absolutely Fabulous

pattern: Saartje's Bootees by Saartje de Brujin
yarn: Colinette Jitterbug, in colour Vincent's Apron, and Skein Top Draw Sock, in colour Sterling
needles: 2.5mm

Such a wonderful bootie pattern, they are so squishy, round and cute! Buttons are some second hand lion head buttons (btw, I'm so neurotic about these small things when it comes to leaving them in the vicinity of babies, so I tried to sew them on as tightly as possible). For the ever so fabulous baby of our absolutely fantastic yarn shop keeper (or for the stuffed animals in the household)!
