mind you, this is a cautionary tale

pattern: Perianth by Barbara Gregory
yarn: Skein Top Draw Socks, in colour Rye, 50g and Artesano Definition Sock Yarn, in colour Cream Cake, 40g
needles: 2.75mm

A perfect pattern, will reknit these in the future! The trick is that the colourwork pattern is completely arbitrary, so I couldn't learn it by heart. I started the other mitten during a somewhat rocky week so the other cuff is a bit wonky (on the right) - in other words, I forgot that I had ktbl all the knits in the first cuff and was dead certain they looked similar until I finished them (aaand that would be my shitty knitting lighting and  ridiculous shortsightedness). So, children, this is a cautionary tale: check from time to time what you're actually knitting and if you're still a bit unsure, consult someone who knows what they're doing. Like a good, knitting friend (who, upon seeing these, asked "What the hell happened to the second cuff?")

The yarn was absolute heaven, both of them actually. Will definitely buy more Skein and I think I won't be able to knit white colourwork with anything else than Definition from now on. Success!
