Frances Burney with gloves and socks

I cannot be much pleased without an appearance of truth; at least of possibility I wish the history to be natural though the sentiments are refined; and the characters to be probable, though their behaviour is excelling.
Frances Burney

We've been reading Frances Burney at school and as a Jane Austen fan I'm absolutely thrilled! She is one of the less known British writes who wrote psychological books about relationships way before Austen (one of her famous characters is Willoughby...)

Anyway, as I read, I knitted a pair of gloves. I really should knit a pair of femme, Victorian gloves according to that time's fashion.

Before the gloves, I finished a pair of alpaca socks. Perhaps the next winter I have warm socks!
